Credit Transfer Policy

Accommodating Transfer Credit Policies
At Eminence University, we recognize external credentials and organization-specific training programs that have been evaluated for academic credit. Students may apply these credits across their degree programs — including core studies — as long as they fit appropriately, comply with transfer limits, and complete necessary coursework and documentation.
Important: Eminence University accepts transfer credits from all accredited colleges and universities around the world.
At Eminence, what matters is that you have achieved college-level learning — no matter how or where that knowledge was gained.
Today's adults cannot afford to pause their careers and personal lives for fixed-class schedules. At Eminence University, they don’t have to.
Most students only visit our Colorado study center for graduation ceremonies. Those nearby may stop by for exams or advisor consultations, but many complete their courses, sit for examinations, and graduate from wherever life takes them — at home, in the office, or even on deployment.
For military students, "classroom" might mean a submarine, an aircraft carrier, or a remote base anywhere in the world.
Through online learning, exams, prior learning assessments, professional training credits, or transferring previous academic credits, our programs are designed to move with your busy life.
Many students are surprised to discover they already possess substantial knowledge across multiple disciplines that can be applied toward their degree.
Students are encouraged to enroll in PLA-100 (Introduction to Prior Learning Assessment) and PLA-200 (Portfolio Development and Assessment). These courses teach students how to document and submit prior learning for undergraduate credit evaluation.
Our Portfolio Assessment Program allows students to demonstrate the skills and knowledge they’ve acquired outside the traditional classroom.
Students identify course-equivalent learning and build their portfolios via the PLA-200 course, then upload them online for review by subject matter experts.
Note: Certain courses—such as physical education activities, practicums, internships, and lab-only courses—are not eligible for portfolio assessment. Some courses, like English composition and math, are better assessed through professional exams.
Graduate students may qualify for credit toward their advanced degrees based on work experience, professional research, military or corporate training, and other intensive learning experiences.
Eminence University grants academic credit for more than 60 valid professional licenses and certifications across industries including aviation, healthcare, public safety, and business.
Military personnel and veterans can earn academic credit for documented military training, including Joint Services Transcripts (JST), Community College of the Air Force records, and Coast Guard Institute documents.
Similarly, credits are available for evaluated professional and workforce development programs.
